General Description
The APL1086 is a low dropout three-terminal adjustable regulators with 1.5A output current capability. In order to obtain lower dropout voltage and faster transient response, which is critical for low voltage applications, the APL1086 has been optimized. The device is available in an adjustable version and fixed output voltages of 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.85V, and 3.3V, the output available voltage range is from 1.25 to 10.7V with an input supply below 12V. Dropout voltage is guaranteed at a maximum of 1.45V at 1.5A. Current limit is trimmed to ensure specified output current and controlled short-circuit current. On-chip thermal limiting provides protection against any combination of overload that would create excessive junction temperatures. The APL1086 is available in the industry standard 3-pin SOT-223, TO-252, TO-220, or TO-263 power packages.

General Description

Typical dropout voltage is only 750mV at 150mA loading. General Description
The APL5606/A is a low quiescent current and low dropout linear regulator which is designed with a P-channel pass MOSFET to power a DC fan and delivers output current up to 600mA. In adjustable mode, the output voltage follows the 1.6 times of the voltage on VSET pin to dynamically adjust the DC fan speed; in full speed mode, the internal P-channel MOSFET fully turns on to drive the DC fan with maximum supply voltage for full speed operation. The APL5606/A with low 140µA quiescent current is ideal for battery-powered system appliances. It is also stable with a low-ESR ceramic output capacitor (2.2µF typical) to reduce total cost and to minimize the PCB area required. The APL5606/A features current-limit (with foldback current) and over-temperature protections to protect the device against current over-loads and overtemperature. The APL5606/A is available in a SOP-8 package.

The IC needs two supply voltages, one is a control voltage (VCNTL) for the control circuitry, the other is a main supply Voltage (VIN) for power conversion, to reduce power dissipation and provide extremely low dropout voltage. The APL5620 integrates many functions. A Power-On-Reset (POR) circuit monitors both supply voltages on VCNTL and VIN pins to prevent erroneous operations. The functions of thermal shutdown and current-limit protect the device against thermal and current over-loads. A POK indicates that the output voltage status with a delay time set internally. It can control other converter for power sequence. The APL5620 can be enabled by other power systems. Pulling and holding the EN voltage below 0.4V shuts off the output. General Description

General Description
The APL5901/2 is micropower, low noise, low dropout linear regulator. Operate from 2.7V to 6V input voltage and deliver up to 900mA. Typical output noise is just 50µVRMS with the addition of an external 0.1µF bypass capacitor in BP pin and typical dropout voltage is only 210mV at 900mA loading. Designed for use in battery-powered system, the low 50µA quiescent current makes it an ideal choice. Design with an internal P-channel MOSFET pass transistor, the APL5901/2 maintains a low supply current, independent of the load current and dropout voltage. Other features include reverse current protection, thermal-shutdown protection, current limit protection to ensure specified output current and controlled short-circuit current. The APL5901/2 regulator come in a miniature SOT-89, SOT-89-5, SOT-223, SO8, TO-252 and TO-252-5 packages.

General Description

These applications include on-card regulation for elimination of noise and distribution problems associated with single-point regulation. In addition, they can be used with power-pass elements to make highcurrent voltage regulators. Each of these regulators can deliver up to 100mA of output current. The internal limiting and thermal shutdown features of these regulators make them essentially immune to overload. When used as a replacement for a Zener diode-resistor combination, an effective improvement in output impedance can be obtained together with lower-bias current.
